The Hindu Society of Minnesota provides religious, spiritual, educational, social and cultural activities for all generations of the Hindu community. As the largest Hindu temple in North America, our organization offers the unique benefit of providing a multitude of community resources and activities under one roof.

Religious Services

HSMN provides a beautiful Hindu Temple (place of worship) for the Twin Cities Hindu community. Our temple is authentic and built according to “Vastushastra” – a traditional system of Hindu architectural design. There are 21 mini temples which are identical replicas of several famous temples from all regions of India. Temple timings are Monday to Friday 9:30am to 11:30am and 5:30pm to 8:30 pm, weekends and holidays 9:00 am to 8:30 pm. All are welcome

Cultural Services

Cultural committee comprised of the committee chair and 2-3 other members organizes cultural events for major cultural holidays such as Holi, Diwali and the Cultural Heritage Day showcasing the vast talent from the Twin Cities area.
As well as assists in hosting events of visiting national and international cultural artists as well as Religious cultural events of the multitude of regional communities.

Educational Services

Hindu American Temple School(HATS) offers classes the covers different aspects of Hindu Dharma, including spiritual practices such as Yoga, in an age appropriate manner. The school follows a graded and a diverse curriculum that meets the requirements of children (from ages 4-15 yrs) growing up in the American society.

Food Services

Our divine scriptures say Annam Parabrahma Swaroopam! While preserving the divinity of food, we serve prasadam/food at   our temple with the help of devotee volunteers on weekends       and special occasions like festivals etc. Food Sponsor is one of the most gratifying and popular service among the devotees and is always booked couple of months in  advance by enthusiastic devotee volunteers.

Outreach and philanthropic efforts were always a part of the activities of the Hindu Society of Minnesota. Since the inception of Outreach committee in 2009, the HSMN has supported local non profits and involved in various fund raising activities to support people in need around the world.

Temple Tours

- Saturday, 9:30am (until 10:30am):  No prior registration is required for our Saturday morning tours.  All are welcome!  For groups of 10 or more,  we recommend emailing us in advance. 

- Sundays,  9:30am (until 10:30am), and weekdays during regular temple hours:  Based on availability, this time is reserved for larger groups and/or educational institutions, upon request via email only. To request a tour at one of the above times, or other questions pertaining to tours or Educational Outreach, please contact: templetours@hsmn.org.  

NOTE:  Saturday temple tours are currently closed and will resume September 14th.



Facility Reservations

HSMN allows the devotees and general public to rent the Auditorium and Kitchen Dinning areas for private parties and functions.
