Temple Manager, Hindu Temple of Minnesota The Hindu Temple of Minnesota (HSMN) in Maple Grove, MN was consecrated in 2006 and is the largest Hindu temple in North America. It is a 43,000 square foot facility with a congregational base of 4000 families. For the past twelve years, HSMN has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Hindu traditions and cultural heritage. The temple has been conducting and sponsoring various religious, spiritual, educational, outreach, social and cultural activities for the benefit of the community at large. HSMN is seeking a motivated, dynamic and driven Temple Manager. The job entails operational oversight, building maintenance, office administration and personnel management of the temple staff. If you are a self-starter with creativity and vision for building sustaining relationships with the stakeholders while managing the day to day operations of the temple, we want to talk to you! Hindu Society of Minnesota hosted yet another grand Diwali event, titled “Pratibha: A Symphony of Talent”, at the prestigious Minneapolis Convention Center on October 21, 2018.
A multi-dish Indian lunch was enjoyed by close to 2000 attendees, beautiful ethnic attire was available for purchase at multiple fashion stalls, and finally, our community proudly and energetically displayed its ‘Pratibha’, meaning ‘talent’, in the form of folk and modern Indian dance styles.
HSMN gives a heartfelt THANK YOU to its 2018 Diwali sponsors, vendors, cultural participants, and wonderful audience.

The Hindu Society of Minnesota provides religious, spiritual, educational, social and cultural activities for all generations of the Hindu community. As the largest Hindu temple in North America, our organization offers the unique benefit of providing a multitude of community resources and activities under one roof.

Religious Services

HSMN provides a beautiful Hindu Temple (place of worship) for the Twin Cities Hindu community. Our temple is authentic and built according to “Vastushastra” – a traditional system of Hindu architectural design. There are 21 mini temples which are identical replicas of several famous temples from all regions of India. Temple timings are Monday to Friday 9:30am to 11:30am and 5:30pm to 8:30 pm, weekends and holidays 9:00 am to 8:30 pm. All are welcome

Cultural Services

Cultural committee comprised of the committee chair and 2-3 other members organizes cultural events for major cultural holidays such as Holi, Diwali and the Cultural Heritage Day showcasing the vast talent from the Twin Cities area.
As well as assists in hosting events of visiting national and international cultural artists as well as Religious cultural events of the multitude of regional communities.

Educational Services

Hindu American Temple School(HATS) offers classes the covers different aspects of Hindu Dharma, including spiritual practices such as Yoga, in an age appropriate manner. The school follows a graded and a diverse curriculum that meets the requirements of children (from ages 4-15 yrs) growing up in the American society.

Food Services

Our divine scriptures say Annam Parabrahma Swaroopam! While preserving the divinity of food, we serve prasadam/food at   our temple with the help of devotee volunteers on weekends       and special occasions like festivals etc. Food Sponsor is one of the most gratifying and popular service among the devotees and is always booked couple of months in  advance by enthusiastic devotee volunteers.

Outreach and philanthropic efforts were always a part of the activities of the Hindu Society of Minnesota. Since the inception of Outreach committee in 2009, the HSMN has supported local non profits and involved in various fund raising activities to support people in need around the world.

Temple Tours

** Note -  tours will stop after Dec 16, and will start on January 5th *** . Tours on Saturdays and Sundays start at 9:30 and last ~ 1 hour. While drop-ins are welcome,  but if your group is 10 or more, please inform us ahead by contacting the Temple Manager (manager@hsmn.org).  Tours are free but your donations will help us maintain this beautiful facility. Suggested donation: $5/person.

Special tours for groups can be arranged on weekdays, preferably Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays during the time when the temple is open (9:30 am- 11:30 am & 5:30pm- 8:30pm). Please contact Temple Manager manager@hsmn.org


Facility Reservations

HSMN allows the devotees and general public to rent the Auditorium and Kitchen Dinning areas for private parties and functions.
